The Diocese of Utah kicks off our 150th year with the Souper Bowl of Caring. The national charity started with a simple youth group prayer: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” Since that time, $125-million has been raised. For each $1 donated to your congregations, the Diocese will match $1, and for each can of food donated, the Diocese will pay 25-cents. Each congregation is eligible for up to $2,500. Each congregation will give 100% of their donations plus the Diocesan match to their social justice outreach ministry choice.
